The top aerobatic pilots in the world, as well as top representatives of organizational associations are meeting in Prague, and so on Thursday, June 5th the press got their first chance to question the top Russian aerial acrobats Svetlana Kapanina, Victor Tchmal and Mikhail Mamitsov.

A golf tournament in light of the World Aerobatic Cup 2008 was held on May 28th, 2008 at the Kotlina golf course. The event was attended by WAC partners, pilots and flight patrons, all with their “clubs in gear”. The tournament was launched by Martin Šonka's aerobatics show exhibited directly above everyone's heads and it received a great ovation.

May 26th 2008, 9PM on CT4: WAC Director Jan Zival and Martin Sonka of the Czech national aerobatic team were invited to a show hosted by Jiri Hölzel.

There will be a varied exhibition of dozens of ultralight aircraft of all types at WAC 2008, as surely their pilots won’t pass up this unique opportunity and will fly in for a close look at the competition. Czech ultralight manufacturers are considered to be the pinnacle of excellence, and on the global market Czech planes are favoured and very successful.

Světlana Kapanina, the world’s best female pilot, is going to compete for the world’s WAC cup in Roudnice. Information on her participation was revealed to the media at a press conference held on May 6th, 2008.
